DESCRIPTION:Game Development meets Art in Virtual Reality and Game Dev Days go to Kunsthaus! \nThis event is a cooperation between GameDevGraz\, Kunsthaus Graz and TU Graz as part of the Game Dev Days 2017. \nThe focus of this event will be an exhibition of VR experiences showing the potential of VR for gaming and art purpose. \nWhat is VR? What do we expect from VR? What are the technological developments of VR? Those are central questions which will be discussed in a panel discussion from different perspectives: gaming\, research\, and art. \nWhy are we moving for this to Kunsthaus Graz? Since the beginning of 2017 a artificial neuronal network – an AI called Ghost – is growing inside (and outside) the Kunsthaus. Ghost will be presented at VR Playful Art through images and experiences in a meta-space. \nMore details will follow soon! \nSubmit your own VR experiences to be exhibited in the famous “Grazer Alien”: www.gamedevdays.com \n \n  \n \n

Participants rapidly prototype game designs and hopefully inject new ideas to help grow the game industry. We share a common theme and constraints. We ask participants to create a game from beginning to end in a prescribed time (maximum of 48 hours). The brief time span is meant to help encourage creative thinking to result in small but innovative and experimental games. \nDO I NEED TO COME TO GGJ WITH A TEAM ALREADY FORMED?\nDo not come to the Jam with a team. Ideally everyone forms teams on the Friday\, and get the chance to work with a new collaborator or few! You will have some time to think and pitch an idea. Make new friends or jam with peers you admire. \nDO I NEED SPECIAL SKILLS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GGJ?\nAlthough having computer skills is helpful\, experience is not necessary. Designers\, developers\, artists and anyone is welcome to try their hand at making a game during the GGJ. Even if you have no experience at all\, you can still participate by contributing ideas\, playtesting\, and giving moral support to your team.
